Not a government website

VA Claim Calc is an independent site. It is not run by, endorsed by or connected to the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, the Defense Travel Management Office, any branch of the armed forces, OPM or the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, and it files no claims. The calculators apply the tables and formulas those bodies publish to the figures you enter. VA decides your rating and your dependents, DFAS computes your pay and retired pay; their written decisions are the ones that count, and a VA decision can be appealed. Liability

Every figure is read on an agency document and every engine is tested before each release, but errors cannot be ruled out and tables change every year. The publisher is not liable for a decision taken on an estimate alone. Please report errors through the contact page.

Intellectual property

Texts, design and code belong to the publisher; short quotations with a link are welcome. Government documents quoted or summarized remain public records of the agencies that issued them.

Personal data
